Terence P. McDermott is a Partner in the firm’s Government Affairs and Business Strategies practice, and has spent nearly three decades helping businesses and organizations interact effectively with all levels of government and with each other.  Utilizing an array of strategic government relations, business marketing and legal and public affairs services, he focuses on assisting clients in establishing productive public/private partnerships, navigating the real estate development process, developing business-to-business relationships and pursuing public contracts.

In recent years, such organizations as Clark Construction, CSX Railroad and JP Morgan have benefited from his expertise.  Terry is also working with The Propeller Club of Boston, the Boston Shipping Association and MASSPORT, to secure funding for dredging the Port of Boston to allow passage for the next generation of post-Panamax ships.

Previously, Terry served as an at-large Boston City Councilor and spent four years representing Boston’s policy interests in Washington, D.C. He is member of the Massachusetts Bar and received his BA from Northeastern University and his JD from the University of Miami School of Law.
